Clayton Dodds serves as the Director of Marketing for Brewer Offord & Pedersen LLP, coordinating the firm’s marketing operations, advertising, client relations, and online initiatives. He is passionate about helping everyday people understand what the laws are that govern them, how the legal process works, and how the law impacts their goals and livelihoods. Because of the firm’s location in the heart of Silicon Valley, Clayton is a strong advocate for using technology to advance how legal services are performed and how clients’ expectations are met.

Prior to working for Brewer Offord & Pedersen LLP, Clayton worked as a legal marketing specialist for Nolo, a legal publisher founded in 1971 that pioneered the “popular law revolution”. In that capacity, he consulted and designed legal marketing campaigns for lawyers across the country, specializing in lead generation, lead response optimization, and client service.

Clayton holds two degrees from the University of Oklahoma – a Bachelors of Business Administration (special distinction) in Entrepreneurship & Venture Management from the Michael F. Price College of Business and a Bachelors of Arts (summa cum laude) in Political Science, with a minor in Constitutional Studies. In college, Clayton received the Letzeiser Award, a list honoring the top 12 male and female students in the 2012 graduating class. His honors thesis was entitled “Constitutional Courts in Democratizing Nations” and his honors colloquium was entitled “The Constitution and the Economy”. He was an inaugural member of the Society of Fellows at the Institute for the American Constitutional Heritage, and he also spent a semester as a Capitol Scholar at the Carl Albert Congressional Research and Studies Center, working as a legislative intern in the Oklahoma House of Representatives for Representative Doug Cox, M.D.

Throughout college, Clayton competed for the OU Speech & Debate team, and in his final speech of his career, he won the National Championship in Impromptu Speaking at the 2012 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament. Clayton also performed four years with the Pride of Oklahoma marching band (trumpet).

Clayton Dodds is a member of the Legal Marketing Association, and currently serves on the planning committee for the 2014 LMA Tech Conference/West.
