Dan Peterson is an associate real estate attorney with over 5 years of litigation and transactional experience. He represents clients in a variety of disputes related to property law, including non-disclosure, landlord & tenant, deposit, ownership, and title issues. Drawing from his considerable background working with contracts, Dan helps buyers, sellers, owners, landlords, investors, and developers in a range of transactional matters concerning residential purchase and sale agreements. He is experienced in working with both the California Association of REALTORS® (CAR) Residential Purchase Agreement (RPA) and the Peninsula Regional Data Service (PRDS) purchase agreement.
Dan’s litigation capabilities span the entire litigation lifecycle, including taking and defending depositions, responding to and pursuing discovery requests, drafting motions, and engaging in pre-trial mediation and settlement conferences. Throughout the process, Dan’s top priority is providing a quality client experience. He is committed to being responsive, thorough, strategic, and effective in helping his clients protect and advance their real estate interests.
Prior to joining the Brewer Firm, Dan worked at a business litigation law firm in Silicon Valley and as a contracts attorney for a local school district. He earned his law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating in the top third of his class. Before he began his law career, Dan completed his undergraduate studies at Texas State University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
When he is not practicing law, Dan enjoys spending time with his family.
