David Harvey is a litigation and transactional real estate attorney with nearly two decades of experience representing owners, buyers, and sellers of California real property. He is a relentless advocate for parties asserting their constitutional property rights and those rights enshrined in law.

David focuses his transactional work on guiding parties who are planning to transact or are actively engaged in the process of a market acquisition or disposition. That body of work includes conducting due diligence on purchase, sale, and lease agreements. Attorney Harvey also litigates disputes involving breach of contract, unlawful detainer, breach of fiduciary duty, land use and zoning, landlord-tenant matters, short- and long-term income production, and mechanic’s liens.

As a licensed California real estate broker, attorney Harvey has a keen understanding of the business of real estate law. Leveraging industry best practices, David helps clients navigate market pressures with client-tailored strategies that are supported by advanced, data-driven analysis. Through diligent, empathetic, and personalized service, David is committed to building greater market transparency and transactional confidence in California real estate markets.

Prior to joining Brewer Offord & Pedersen, David maintained a solo practice while also owning and operating a boutique short-term rental property. In 2005, David earned his juris doctorate from American University, where he was a member of the International Law Society and a student attorney in the Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic. He completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Roanoke College.
